To become a member you will need be either a student of Saxion OR a student or employee of the University or Twente.

We offer four different martial arts: Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Pukulan and Taekwondo.
Jiu-Jitsu is a Japanese self-defense martial art, which aims to incapacitate an attacker as efficiently as possible. Jiu-Jitsu focuses on grappling, punching, kicking, strangling and throwing..
Jiu-Jitsu literally means “soft art”. This refers to the aim to overcome the attacker using technique instead of brute force. This means this art style is very suitable for both men and woman.
Judo is also a Japanese self-defense martial art, which has evolved into a competition sport. Judo aims to gain control of the opponent, usually by attempting to pin someone on their back. Alternatives are using armlocks or grappling techniques.
Pukulan is an Indonesian martial art which is practiced by mastering the sport, the fight, and the spiritual aspects individually. In this way the entire fight can be mastered as a whole.
Taekwondo is a Korean martial art that puts emphasis on kicking, but also includes many punching and blocking techniques. The most important branch of Taekwondo is style and sparring. The style branch is practiced by fighting an imaginary opponent in a prescribed manner.
Taekwondo is often compared with karate, because these martial arts are very similar. The greatest difference is in Taekwondo’s emphasis on kicking.
